Veneer wood is a man-made synthetic product, not 100 percent real wood. It is created in factories and often designated for furniture.

Many will argue that veneer wood offers equal quality to natural product, and few people will be able to decipher veneer from genuine wood furniture. Veneer offers the end-consumer lower costs and less maintenance.

When looking to purchase furniture, evaluate your desires. Since it is difficult to decipher veneer, inquire with the sales associate which pieces are veneer and which are not.

It is important to evaluate if you want functional, low maintenance furniture, or timeless, high-quality pieces. If you desire the latter, then veneer is not for you.

Veneer is best for people with an active household, not concerned with investment pieces and looking to for frequent change. You can experiment with different looks without having to worry able cost.

Veneer wood is a great low-cost wood alternative for the home owner looking for a beautiful piece of furniture.
